Please note: This is not a first-come, first-served process
All potential homes are carefully screened and approved prior to any sale agreements
All puppies will have a non-negotiable OSS (ovary-sparing spay) or vasectomy before leaving for their new homes
Our puppies are exposed to many different stimuli and household noises and interactions indoors and outdoors.
For interstate applicants we have phone and video calls so we can get to know each other better and you can see how our dogs are kept and how our puppies are raised.
We are very passionate about developing the Lykos Wolfalike and being involved in the breed's history and development as a registered breed within Australia.
All our breeding dogs are hip and elbow x-rayed with acceptable results, DNA genetic tested with Embark (clear of all testable genetic diseases).
We also do Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) with all our puppies. ENS and gentle handling with our puppies, helps aid their development, resilience and coping mechanisms. We raise our puppies with a lot of love and care and also spend time with their individually.
All Beowolves puppies will be sterilized before leaving for their new homes, using hormone- preserving procedures designed to support natural growth and development. These procedures ensure your puppy benefits from the health and growth advantages of keeping their hormones intact, while preventing accidental litters. Please advise your vet that your pup has had this procedure completed.
- Females have undergone ovary-sparing surgery, meaning their ovaries and uterus remain intact. This allows them to retain their natural hormones for proper growth and bone development. They will still experience normal heat cycles and bleeding but cannot become pregnant.
- Males have undergone a vasectomy, so they also retain their testicles and natural hormones. They may still show typical male behaviors, including mounting or mating, but will be unable to impregnate a female.
Please discuss full spay procedures with your vet to avoid any health complications that can be associated with leaving reproductive organs intact.
We have not seen any adverse effects from traditional sterilisation. However, we now offer alternative methods based on research suggesting natural hormones like ostrogen and testosterone support growth and health, especially in larger breeds.
What does it cost?
Depending on the vet, the cost of sterilisation varies.
- Males: approximately $500-$800
- Females: approximately $800-$2000
Why is this more expensive than traditional desexing?
- They require a higher level of surgical precision and specialised training
- They are often carried out by vets with a special interest in reproduction or advanced surgery
- Sterilisation of pet puppies IS included in the price, while still keeping puppy prices very reasonable.
Due to ovaries and testicles remaining in tubal ligation and vasectomies, dogs will continue to develop with their natural hormones and display the same physical traits and behaviours of entire dogs (cycles in females and desire to mate in both sexes). The key difference is that they are unable to reproduce. This supports the integrity of our breed and prevents accidental or unauthorised breeding.
Having an non-sterilised dog, typically costs hundreds of dollars more per year for annual council registration.
Traditional sterilisation can still be carried out after your puppy reaches adulthood if you wish, which depends on your personal circumstances and your vet's advice.

Air Transport Requirements
Puppies are eligible for air travel once they have reached 8 weeks of age for females and 9 weeks for males. In accordance with airline and animal transport regulations, puppies under 12 weeks of age must obtain a Veterinary Fit to Fly Certificate issued by a registered veterinarian prior to departure.
This certificate is typically arranged through our veterinarian as part of the transport preparation process. The cost of obtaining the certificate is the responsibility of the purchaser and is generally equivalent to the cost of a standard veterinary consultation.
We will coordinate the appointment and ensure all required documentation is completed prior to your puppy’s scheduled travel date.
We use Pet Caddy for interstate puppy transport. Pet Caddy can arrange your puppy’s flight to the destination airport only, you will need to arrange pickup from the airport. Pet Caddy will also provide road transport from our kennels to either Melbourne, Tullamarine Airport or Essendon Airport.
To ensure everything is organised smoothly, we recommend contacting Pet Caddy and booking your puppy’s transport at least one week prior to their departure date. Transport costs are generally based on the puppy’s weight (most puppies weigh approximately 8–9kg at 8 weeks of age), the flight destination, and any additional collection or delivery services required.
All transport arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the purchaser and are paid directly to Pet Caddy. We are happy to assist by providing your puppy’s expected weight and any information required for the transport booking.

What Makes Our Puppies Special?
Our Lykos Wolfalike puppies are bred to offer the beauty of a wolf with the temperament of a family-friendly dog. They’re carefully selected for:
- Striking wolf-like looks without any wolf content
- Calm, stable personalities suited for families and active owners
- Strong health screening, including genetic and joint testing
- Intelligence and trainability for companionship, sport, and outdoor life
They combine the wild aesthetic people love with the reliability and easygoing nature of a well-bred domestic dog.

The Homes We Choose
Our Lykos Wolfalike puppies thrive best in active, committed homes that can give them the time, love, and guidance they deserve. We look for families who can offer:
- An active lifestyle with regular walks, adventures, and involvement in daily life
- Consistent interaction and mental stimulation — these dogs aren’t suited to being left alone for long periods
- Positive, reward-based training and continued socialisation
- A secure outdoor space for safe play and exploration
- A lifelong commitment to their wellbeing, care, and companionship
If you feel this describes your home, we’d love to hear from you.

Important Considerations
Before bringing home a Lykos Wolfalike puppy, it’s essential to understand that these dogs are highly intelligent, sensitive, and people-oriented. They thrive when they’re included in everyday life — not left alone for long hours or kept as outdoor pets.
A Lykos Wolfalike needs consistent training, ongoing socialisation, and plenty of mental and physical stimulation. When their needs are met, they become incredibly loyal, gentle, and rewarding companions. But they do require time, patience, and commitment.
If you’re ready to invest in their development and make them a true part of your family, a Lykos Wolfalike can be one of the most fulfilling dogs you’ll ever share your life with.
